08.29.2022 - At the Market Tonight

Happy Monday! We're counting down to another market, where we have some fun new vendors for you.  First, we have the first of what we're hoping will be a series of pop-up dinner vendors, Cocina Tume.  These Peruvian dishes are all 100% plant-based; free of soy, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar; and absolutely delicious.  They change their menu monthly, and this is the last day you can try their mushroom ceviche, sourcing mushrooms from Florida Shroom King.  We also have The Cookie Jar trying the market out, with a variety of tasty cookies, including gluten-free options.  And finally, after a brief hiatus, Mangrove Collective is back this evening.  I know I can't wait to feed my obsession with their Ranch Cashews.

We hope to see you at the market.

With Gratitude,

Gabby Lothrop
Market Director

It's Market Monday! We know school kicked off last week for a lot of our regulars, and we hope it was a good start to the year for you. We're proud to be a part of your weekly routine, providing some of the best local goods our community has to offer. 06.27.2022 - At the Market Tonight

A bakery case displaying chocolate chip pretzel cookies

It's Market Monday, and we're going to be out here rain or shine this evening. It's one week after the Summer Solstice and we are experiencing some seasonal changes. We have a lot to report! First, we will be closed next week for the July 4th holiday, so double-up on your favorite staples if you can. Live music is back tonight! Sugar City Music will be serenading us while we shop and dine. Our old friend Mike aka The Bearded Vegan is back for a pop-up appearance this evening, so it's a great chance to stock up on his Jamaican patties and other delicious alkaline foods.

The arrival of Summer also means a transition in the available produce. This will be the last market of the season for Winter Park Urban Farm, so if you're into freezing and canning peak season goods, this might be a good week to buy extra.  Mason will be back with his freshly-harvested goods in October. Fleet Farming will be sticking it out this summer with everything that can be grown in the summer months.  We also received the sad news that this will be the last week Greenworks Orlando is at the market.  The city has had to suspend the commercial composting program, so this is the last week to drop off your home compost for free.  If you're interested in checking out the service provided by O-Town Compost, they are offering $15 off to new customers using the code COMPOST4THEFUTURE.

As always, we have A LOT of beautiful food and handmade goods on deck for the evening.

We hope to see you at the market.

With Gratitude,

Gabby Lothrop
Market Director
