It's Market Monday! We're enjoying this cooler weather, even if it does bring some light rain with it.  It will still be a great night to stock up on local food, from fresh produce to eggs to baked goods.  We're happy to have Edward's Gourmet Confections and Azalea Acres farm back at the market this week, bringing back some additional options as you shop for provisions.  This week also marks the launch of Slow Turtle Farm's line of holiday flavors (can you believe we're more than halfway through October?!), with goat cheeses worthy of celebrations, or just to make it feel more like Fall.  

As a weekly reminder in these pandemic times, we will continue to provide hand-washing facilities and will maintain a setup that allows for plenty of space between vendor booths.  We have masks and gloves on hand for anyone who needs them - just stop by the HQ booth and ask.  Please continue to limit to one party per booth at a time, and maintain a safe distance from your fellow shoppers.

09.14.2020 - Rain or Shine at the Market Tonight

It's Market Monday! We know we say this all the time, but it bears repeating: We are SO grateful for and impressed by the awesome farmers and entrepreneurs we get to work with each week.  This has been an especially trying year, even for these small business owners who are fairly accustomed to extraordinary challenges.  It's no small feat to grow food, raise livestock, make cheese, catch fish, bake pastries, pickle veggies, ferment kombucha, make jam, cook from scratch (we could go on); and be your own marketing and sales team while you're at it! So even as we are daydreaming about cooler days and peak fall season vegetables, we're just as enthusiastic today about all the incredible abundance we get to enjoy because of these intrepid people.  

We also want to keep thanking you, the market shoppers, for keeping us going through this summer.  Did you know that we've been at this, in the Stardust parking lot, for nearly 12 years?  If it weren't for the amazing vendors, and the awesome shoppers who have committed to local over the years, we definitely wouldn't be here!  We mean it: THANK YOU.

It's Market Monday!  We're having a hard time believing we're at the end of August, but here we are.  The closing of this month has us dreaming of fall, even if it is still over a month away for us!  We're looking forward to a change in the season that will mean new varieties of produce and cooler weather, but in the meantime, we're so grateful for the summer bounty our vendors are sharing with us each week.
