It's Market Monday, and I'm already daydreaming about what I'm going to have for dinner.  There'll be plenty of options this evening, including pizza from CM's Nomad Kitchen, Sri Lankan food from Ceylon Hut, and tasty plant-based options from the Bearded Vegan.  It's also a pop-up week for Winter Park Pie Company, so that means one more option for dessert! The bar will be open at Stardust, and we'll have live music, so it's going to make for a lovely evening of dining and shopping for local provisions.

As a weekly reminder in these pandemic times, we will continue to provide hand-washing facilities and will maintain a setup that allows for plenty of space.  We have masks on hand for anyone who wants them - just stop by the HQ booth and ask.  Please continue to limit to one party per booth at a time, and maintain a safe distance from your fellow shoppers.

We hope to see you at the market.

With Gratitude,

Gabby Lothrop
Market Director

06.28.2021 - At the Market Tonight

Happy Monday!  We're extra excited for tonight's market, and not just because it might actually be rain-free!  First, we're pleased to welcome the return of live music at the market.  It's been a looooong time since we've been able to host musicians, and we are eternally grateful that Jessica Delacruz was willing to dust off her music booking "hat" and start scheduling local talent again.

We're also hosting new and pop-up vendors this week.  Bleu Basil is back after a very long hiatus, and we're thrilled to their delicious handmade pastas, sauces and more back in our lives.  Our friends at local favorite Deli Desires will be joining the market, with some of their shop's greatest hits.  And Winter Park Pie Company is popping back up this week with personal pies and cupcakes.  It's also an Edward's Gourmet Confections week, so we advise staying for dessert and catching some live music.

It's Market Monday, and that means awesome local goods, even if it rains a little.  We know it gets harder to make plans when the weather starts to get less predictable around here.  But local food waits for no one, and farming doesn't stop just because of the rain, so we'll be out here, rain or shine, with some of our favorite local entrepreneurs.  Stock up on freshly-picked produce, handmade provisions, and tasty treats.  Grab a drink from Jenna at the Stardust bar and make it into a Monday evening happy hour!

Hello, Summer!  We can't believe it's already June!  The summer weather is going to bring rapid changes to the variety of produce available each week.  If you're into pickling, canning, and freezing, the next few weeks will be a great time to stock up on peak-of-the-season produce to preserve for the summer months, when rain, heat, and insects make it difficult to grow as much variety.  There'll be plenty of options today, with fresh produce from Zenn Naturals, Fleet Farming, Blodgett's Produce Works, Winter Park Urban Farm, and Heart of Christmas.  Grab dinner from Ceylon Hut, CM's Nomad Kitchen Pizza, or the Bearded Vegan, and dine while you shop.

We also hear Jenna is back behind the bar at Stardust tonight, so you can make your shopping trip into a Happy Hour too!

As a weekly reminder in these pandemic times, we will continue to provide hand-washing facilities and will maintain a setup that allows for plenty of space between vendor booths.  We have masks and gloves on hand for anyone who needs them - just stop by the HQ booth and ask.  Please continue to limit to one party per booth at a time, and maintain a safe distance from your fellow shoppers.
